Jabra Evolve2 65 Bluetooth - Bad Crackling/Distortion Issue

Hi all,

I have a pair of Jabra Evolve2 65 headphones/headset which initially worked fine but then developed an issue where there was a loud crackling building in intensity before audio drops out.

These are connected to the Jabra Link 380.

After lots of troubleshooting I contacted Jabra who replaced the headset.

Unfortunately the replacement has the same issue. I have troubleshooted further and found it only crackles when using the "HFP" profile. A2DP playback is faultless, it's actually a rather good headset for music listening.

Any ideas on what could be causing the issue to only impact the HFP profile?

For anybody who should find this post installing a USB PCIe card has sorted the issue for me. I have the Jabra dongle connected to this instead of motherboard USBs and it's working fine.
I bought a card with internal 18/19-pin header so have hooked up my front USBs to the PCIe card.
