Does anyone know if the Jabulani football sold in JJB is the 'proper' one, or just a replica of the design?

I'm a bit wary of the £14.99 price tag when you see the official FIFA store, and a few other stores selling it for near on £100.

Thanks
Craig.

I'd guess it's just a replica and the actually balls like they use at the World Cup would be more expensive.

I've got the real one, it was £59.99 from Sports Direct and was behind the counter. It's a fantastic ball, provided you've got it pumped up to between 11.6 and 12psi. It has a longer trajectory than any other ball due to the fact it weighs just 400grams and is effectively the 'roundest' ball ever made. There's been a lot of hype around this ball, both positive & negative but I can tell you that in my experience, it's excellent.

Can't believe people would even begin to think they would be using a £15 ball in the world cup :p

Kinda obvious it wouldn't be the real ball.

I've got one of the £15 ones you mention (for £8), quite fine for a general football.

As said though the actual ones are quite a bit different and cost a jip.

The only reason its so expensive is because Nike (or whoever) have to give away so many balls in the world cup and probably have to pay a license fee on top.

Replica ones are crap and cost about £3 to make, the real ones are amazing, you can head it without feeling like you have headed a brick and they are so easy to boot.
