Both Harvestor and TGi Fridays have a side sauce called Jack Daniel’s which is described as "A sticky, sweet sauce with a hint of cider vinegar, bourbon and chilli."

Anyone know if you can buy it, it is not a dark sauce its got the consistancy of the swett chilli dipping sauce you buy.

I can guarantee they will barely taste of JD.

Did you not think of googling TGI Jack Daniels sauce recipe?

*Edit* Off the JD website:
Jack's All-Purpose BBQ Glaze

½ cup Jack Daniel's® Tennessee Whiskey
½ cup soy sauce
½ cup ketchup
1 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon garlic powder

Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan. Simmer until slightly thickened, about 5 minutes. Makes about 2 cups.

This one is very similar to the TGI one:
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon Tabasco sauce
1 cup pineapple juice
1/2 cup whiskey (favorite brand)
2 cups brown sugar
2 beef bouillon cubes
4 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

Combine in a pan and simmer until reduced to a sticky sauce.

Have you actually tried the stuff? It is the genuine American article and the website claims its the same kinda stuff that TGI Fridays use. So you'd think it would taste of Jack Daniels.

No i've not but i've had a lot of other official sauces and stuff like that, that are meant to taste like e.g. beer but they never really do. Making it yourself is much better because you can make it to your taste plus it's a lot cheaper.

I was hoping that some people had actually tasted it, its not like a basting sauce its like a side sauce to dip things in but its very sweet and sticky. I cannot imagine Harvestor making it everyday so I was hoping to be able to buy it.

You can get this in the shops - it's quite nice but labelling it as a "Jack Daniels" sauce is a bit rich. The information on the back lsit it as being 1% of the ingredients...

And to Flare - jack is now £30 a litre (or more) and i doubt you'd use 1% for home made so i suspect it might be more expensive to make it (I'd put loads in to get the flavour!!)

I prefer using rum instead of whiskey. Darker rum has richer flavour and
you can make it sticky with less added sugar. I mix it with HP sauce or
worcester sauce for a quick fix. ;)

LOVE TGI Jack Daniels sauce! Will have to give this a try! :D

1 teaspoon onion powder
1 tablespoon Tabasco sauce
2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
1/4 cup Jack Daniel's
2 cups brown sugar
1/4 cup water
4 beef bouillon cubes
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

Combine ingredients in a saucepan, bring to the boil and simmer for 15 mins.

I've cooked this a few times, mostly for some friends' BBQs. Most have said it tastes pretty close to the TGI recipe.

the jd sauce is lovelyyy! been to the USA loadsa times for a while too and can honestly say nothing you make yourself (tried loadsa different recipes)or buy taste the same, but gets pretty close tho!

Buy it in the supermarket...?

I have some sweet sticky Jack Daniels sauce in the cupboard.

Ditto!

I have the sticky glaze and the "normal" BBQ sauce. From what I can remember, they taste pretty much the same as the stuff I've had in TGI and back in Texas!
