In his latest attack on the world of videogames, Jack Thomspon is calling on fast-food chain Wendy's to cancel a Kid's Meal Wii promotion.

Reported on GameAlmighty.com, Wendy's is including Wii-related toys such as Mario, Excite Truck, Wii Sports, and the Wii remote with the meals; but it's the console's association with Rockstar's forthcoming Manhunt 2 which has caused Thompson to call for the promotion to end.

I thought Rockstar had settled this and Thompson promised to be on his best behaviour from now on..? When will this guy ever learn? Frankly I think the guy has become a parody of himself.
 
Jack Thompson is a jackass and deserves no media attention.

Actually he needs locking up he seems waaay too obsessed. Or a simple solution would just be to revoke his license to problem solved :) (I prefer the first choice though ;))

Because he deems something inappropriate for kids it means we should all have to miss out by means of banning it :rolleyes: Isnt it the ratings board which decides these things anyway?
 
Better ban Disney films too. You need a DVD player to watch Disney films and DVD players are associated with porn and violent films.

He really is nothing. Now he's targeting completely innocent and non-violent games just because other games are violent.
 
bah, some guy needs to watch a film about some wannabe politician that tries to manipulate the situation when a tragedy occurs to his own agenda, then the guy gets ****** off and goes and kills someone like that in real life.


the press are just as at fault as he is. just because after every horrible murder/masacre/tragedy he runs around asking to be on tv to talk crap doesn't mean they have to let him. not watched the news properly in the last few days but has he been on talking about Alan Wake and the realistic tornado's it depicts destroying houses? have tornado's been playing video games and been getting bad ideas?
 
I totally agree, Jack Thompson is a parody of himself. He's become addicted to having his name in the press and people knowing who he is. Half of the rubbish he comes outwith he surely can't expect himself to be taken seriously..
 
there use to be wendys in croydon never ate there though. anyway rockstar should turn him into a character on gta like gta1 elvis and buddha that all traveled around in packs and you get extra cash for taking him out.
 
There used to be a Wendys in Doncaster, but I think they pulled outta the UK Franchise market after some "hygene" issues.

There burgers were the daddy tho.

He doesn't care about films he's just got a grudge against games, maybe someone bullied him about not having the latest console when he was a kid. :p
