I'm looking for a new jacket to keep me warm and just wondered what the general opinion of Jack Wolfskin's Jackets/Clothing is...

Seem to be quite good quality.

Up and coming brand. Seem to notice a few more stores appearing.

They were everywhere in ski resorts a few years back.

Just look through the other numerous 'What Winter Coat/Jacket?' Threads here, by the time you've read through them it'll be ****ing Summer and you won't need one.

they are good quality but have a bit of an old persons stigma in much of europe. seldom seen over here so heres your chance to break the mold

Was considering one for this winter. Went for a Fjallraven in the end (which I add, has been really good for me!).

When I did my online research, the general consensus on Jack Wolfskin was it's good. Big in Germany

Ah yes the new thing coming into trend it seems...

If its not guys wearing Jack Wolfskin/RAB clothing along with hiking/trainer type shoes to give out the appearance of being an active outdoorsy type, its the mothers going out dressed in 3/4 length leggings and trainers as if they have just come from or going to the gym....

This. A bit meh if you start using it a lot. Better stuff out there but they're pretty affordable, unlike PHD...
Clothing is very individual, go out and try something you like the look and feel of.

you ever thought some people just wear it because its comfortable and functional and don't give a rats ass about fashion or trying to give any impression?

Of course I do but then there are some like in my post above... Let me flip it - Have you ever thought there are people that wear it to give a certain appearance/impression to others as opposed to wearing it for the function they are designed for?

Let me flip it and ask you why do you even care? What has it got anything to do with you what people wear and why does it bother you?

It's currently cold and more often than not wet, so they are wearing it for the function it is designed for which is to keep you warm and dry. :confused:
