As per title, I want to raise the entire back end, I could jack up one side on the sills place a axle stand under and then start the other side but isn't this a bit dangerous? and the axle stands would be uneven on one side before I jacked the other side up?.

Would it be ok to use the rear subframe to jack the whole back end up and then place two axle stands side by side to keep the car suspended?

Anyone know if that would be ok?

i jacked up the left side of my car, stuck a axel stand under than did the right.

Car fell of stands and amazing went between body and wheel and caused no damage.

How the hell did it fall of?
and where was your blocks.

I have and always jack up one side at a time.
Oh and always leave the wheels on until it's all jacked up and save.
Just in case anything does happen.

cause i am a muppet when it comes to lifting cars. Last time i took it on the ramps its slipped off. Again amazing no damage (well a few scrathes underneth) :(

I've jacked my cars up in the middle of the rear axle and once high enough put axle stands underneath. Just remember to chock the front wheels and leave it in gear ;)

no one of my finer moments, the volvo is too long at the front to go on ramps so i have to puts bits of wood infront.

Car got on wood and then as it was raining was reluctant to go up ramp so i floored it. One side went up and the wood went flying on the other leaving the ramp pinned under the car :o

I saw a Corsa at the side of the grass verge today on the motorway - flat tyre, he was trying to jack the car up on grass

Lol.

But if I'm supporting one side with the axle stand wont it be slightly uneven on the stand?

It just doesn't seem right?

As long as it's immobilised at the front, you'll be fine. I've done it this way for years on lots of different cars. Chock the front, in gear if its fwd. Jack up one side, axle stand in. Jack up other side, axle stand in. One thing though, only jack it up enough to get the first setting on the axle stand. If you need it higher, raise each side by one notch in turn after that. This minimises the unevenness you're worried about while raising it.
