Its a 56 plate 32k miles :) Tell me thats not just superb, Jag went wrong after that shape :)

Just noticed, yea standard 20 inch wheels, spoils the ride a bit but im not changing anything, thats staying original.

Anything after 2000 will have a steel lined engine so no nakisil problems, also the plastic tensioners were all gone by the time the 4.2 evolved, these are bomb proof now.

Really nice! What are the silver air intake things on the side?

I dont even know if they do anything, iv had a look theres a lot of plastic behind it might go to the brakes but maybe not, im not pulling them off to see :)

...aside from the chrome vent on the side and that horrible silver carbon effect dash, they're a long way from being classy.

For what its worth i dont think it looks as good as me other one

But they are still beautiful.

lot of car right there, I like it, makes my smoker quest truely dull in comparisson :(

well done commander, oh where do you want my tenner directed?

Yea that pan failed due to lack of support sadly, only 7 of us were willing to invest a tenner in the kid :(

how dull, surely we could have just done that a £70 banger with equal daily running costs! :D

I was all for it on 2 fronts.

1 i was curious to see if the fella kept his end up and blogged it or just ran off with the money (like a human nature project)

2 we might have been an internet first, sponsored car buy :)

We might need to revive the thread, its the Saab or BMW thread a few pages back.

I never drive these Jags much, its the car i use every day thats got to be able to cope, also this house aint too bad the roads, its the other one thats a nightmare to get to.

Thats a nice set of wheels on your dads. Saying that though i think the closed spoke ones look best like the 19 inch Polaris wheels.

17/19 round town i suppose 28/30 on a run perhaps, see fuel consumption is something i have never once in 27 years of driving ever worked out.

Knock 5 off each of those if you boot it. Also my real world Jag driving isnt very real world because i never go into town or drive very far any more.

That has to be one of, it not the best looking modern Jag. Very nice car and I imagine you're rather pleased with it. Not sure about the older one though - never did find that shape very appealing.

I actually think the older ones look better, but i think this is the last of the good looking modern Jags.

I think the new ones look like every other BMW/Merc/Audi nice to drive but what made them individual has gone now.
