Does anyone remember this game? It was basically a sequel to a game I'd never heard of, a turn-based isometric squad shooter. Similar to the early X-COM games except with a modern military setting.

I seem to remember it didn't score particular well in reviews, but the demo of this game on a coverdisk really hooked me in for weeks. The full game was pretty good, but had some crappy tactical stuff involving a helicopter. It had a character called 'Shadow' who was basically the gaming equivalent of Rambo.

Was gutted they never continued the series... if anyone remembers it and knows of a current-day title that is similar, please let me know :)

I still have this game and play it on occasion.

The over the top voice acting was top-notch. :D

I believe you can purchase and download it and the expansion pack from somewhere.

Jagged Alliance: Wildfire (I think) I have it somewhere, its not so much an expansion as a a remake of the original JA2 but harder and with more weapons and smarter AI and stuff

I played it for about six weeks solid and just couldn't get any further which was quite frustrating, but I still look back on it fondly as a very solid tactical RPG :)

Played JA2 loads.. then found out i had missed a timed objective or similar.. didnt want to go back and moved on.. enjoyed it while it lasted though.. there seemed to be so many items etc.

I wonder if the original would run under XP?
My mate lent it to me, I might check to see if he's still got it, he's a hoarder!
Yep - it works under XP. Funnily enough I just reinstalled it this weekend :D
