Has anybody played this? I am looking at it thinking it looks rather interesting, like a modern day Men At War?

If you have played it, can you give me a heads up please?
 
Just saw this today pop up on steam. Didn't know they had one in the works besides the online one. Thanks for the heads up of the demo, downloading that. :)
 
I love it when they reboot a franchise and completly ignore everything that the community loved about the original. Then wonder why everyone is so hostile to it.

From what I saw on the forums, most of the good stuff that gave the original depth and replayability, simply isn't there. The demo hasn't help things and then when I saw the DLC I shed a manly tear. :(
 
Yeah, I :rolleyes: after seeing they removed turn-based combat and gave terribly daft 'reasons' for doing so, and loads of other derp in articles and on their forums.

Tried the demo and was not pleasantly surprised as a small part of me had held hope for. Add to that the day-one DLC and as you can guess I will not be buying this..

DLC needs to turn back into proper full expansions, that gave you plenty of content (about a games worth) at a price of just under half the original game. Least you were getting something worth while, todays dlc is just yesterdays free patches.
 
I've got a bit of an issue with this game now. I bought it of a cd-key site, activated fine with all DLC. I finished the 1st mission after my 2nd attempt (messed up 1st). I got an in game message saying my new goods where at the airport (DLC things, 1st mission makes Airport mine) but I have no idea how I actually get my new weapons. Anyone know?
 
Anyone know how to repair armor?

Its pretty expensive and doesn't last long, I can repair weapons fine.

Also, they seem to have removed the global storage tab when steam updated the game.

Anyone else had this? I had lots of good weapons in storage and now I can't access them?

I don't know how to repair weapons. I now have a P90, FN-FAL and Scar QL for my 3 mercs, loving this game...
 
To repair weapons, have your character equip the gun that you want repaired in one hand and a tool kit in the other, then right click on the merc. It requires a high mechanical skill.

I can't seem to find a way to do the armor though...

I am enjoying the game, I think with a patch or 2 it could be a lot better though.

It will be interesting to see what the modders can do with it, I think its a decent enough base to build up on.

What mercs did you start out with? They are pretty damn expensive...
