jailbreaking an US iphone

Hi,
My sister is off to the States soon and I'm thinking of asking her to get me a 16GB iphone. I have a question, I know that if you jailbreak a UK iphone you can use any o2 sim or tesco sim, but how about when you jailbreak a US iphone, what sim can you use?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

P.s. I hope to use an orange sim with the iphone.

No one here as a US iphone which they have jailbroke??

Same situation as the UK ones.

o2 or Tesco (or AT&T in the US) as long as you find one that is 1.1.2 out the box.

If they are the latest firmware out the box (1.1.3) then it can't be jailbroken yet.

However, you can use a product such as an X-sim on a 1.1.2 out the box to use any sim card in it.
