Jailbreaking iPhone v1

Okay...managed to restore it but now its locked to O2.

Can anyone recommend some Mac based program to jailbreak the iPhone one?

One that is preferably the easiest to use?

You need both iirc. I need both to jailbreak my 3G using Redsnow as it doesn't recognise 3.1.3.

Also, why not get O2 to officially unlock it? They have a web form, or at least did for my iPhone 3G. No way you're stuck in a contract.

It was never on a contract

How much for 02 to unlock it? I am selling it to someone at work, its not going to be worth it if it cost £20 to unlock it !

It doesn't even have a phone number in it at the moment, it has no sim card !

Oh, it needs an O2 sim as you enter your number. It's £15 for Pay and Go users.

Well, i think i will give it a go myself first, if that fails then i will go the 02 route....which i need a PAYG 02 sim card!
