Hi,
Apologise if that was asked earlier but search did not show anything- maybe I haven't searched properly....
Could you post screenshots from your jail broken iPads??
I would like to see what can you do with those.

Mine is jail broken but now have no idea what to do with it...maybe am not creative enough ... What are your main reasons that you broke iPad for?
Thanks

Hello mate

The mail reason i have jailbroken is for the tweaks to the os that you can implement.

So things like

NC settings ( ready access to wifi, brightness , bluetooth etc in Notification area ) - prefer this to sbsettings currently

Infinity folders for unlimited items in folders.

Nospot- gets rid of the useless ( to me spotlight search )

Splitmail - allows the landscape email view in potrait.

Fakeclockup- speeds up the OS animations of the ipad makes the ipad snappier.

Mxtube- download/save offline youtube videos on ipad

xCon- some apps detect the jailbreak and do not work Sky Go for example- this app allows those apps to work.

IncarcerApp- brilliant if you have young kids- allows you to prevent an app from being closed so i let my 2 year old play his abc app with the knowlege that his fascination to press the home button wont stop the app.

Just a few from me, Also would like to add i have never pirated an app so dont tar all jailbreakers with the same brush.

These days iOS does enough for most people tbh, so the main reason for jailbreaking is to pirate apps.

havent found an app I would like to download and not pay for it...bought few games at 6.99 and some apps as well...no need to pirate them...just wanted to know how you can 'twink' your iPad...as for now, dont see much of a need to jailbreak..

Most people jailbreak to customise their phone.

This.

Not bothered JB on the iPad, but I did the phone so I could use Sparrow+ (push email) and SBSettings. Nothing else.... don't give a monkeys about pirate gear. Everything one the phone and iPad, bought and paid for and proud of that.

To suggest it's only done for piratical reasons is a wee bit disingenuous really.

Oh my... The reasons I did it like on iOS 3 is the same reasons I do it now...

iOS hasnt really changed at all... Heck it took forever for folders to be made..... Oh I had them before because I was jailbroken though. Not because I can't afford to buy an app which is 69p -.-

I swear people who think what you think have no idea of what tweaks there are.

Wouldn't jailbreak myself, all the apps haven't been tested as virus/keylogger free like they would have with the Apple Store. Certainly wouldn't have email, bank etc access on it if it was jailbroken.

I agree, BiteSMS is light years ahead of apples standard SMS app, also being able to define your browser of choice is worth JB'ing for.

I too am not interested in piracy, just want to enhance the iOS experience as Apple could do with trying some of these tweaks out themselves and apply them as default within iOS
