James May Oh Cook!

I watched an episode or two yesterday. I would say it's aimed at the people who don't do any cooking at all and for people just starting out. I find him entertaining so it was watchable although as me and the GF do a bit of cooking anyways we didn't really get any ideas or inspiration from the actual cooking.

If you like James May, then probably.
I find him an irritating, wittering little ****, who wasn't very funny when he was with the other two, and in struggling to remain relevant without them has ended up just a ranty self-centred pleb rambling on in the little world that only exists up his own backside.
If you really need advice on how to make a cheese sandwich, or your life desperately lacks for knowing what flavour crisps James May likes, then yeah it's so worth it....

Otherwise there are hundreds of other channels with the same content, but without this *******.

Don't hold back, tell us what you really think!

I think that is the thing with James May - he manages to witter on about almost any subject and find something to say about it - some will like it some will hate it - personally I sit somewhere in the middle.

I find it best when he is talking to someone else who is a little inexperienced and/or unsure of themselves as he can flesh out what they are trying to get to and find something interesting to say in response to quite mundane or poorly thought out questions unlike some people of that kind of profile who have little time for situations like that.

And breathe.

That's probably why I hate it - This approach only works if what you have to say is interesting. May is about as interesting as a bored bus tour guide.

And breathe.
That was all in one breath. I didn't feel that spending much more on the matter was worthwhile. :)

I can take or leave him, but Our Man In Japan was great.

I'm quite the same. I think he was a lot more bearable with Clarkson and Hammond and i'll always watch a grand tour episode.

Our Man in Japan was a bit hit and miss for me as well. I remember watching the first 2, but i'm pretty sure i fell asleep through the 3rd and haven't bought myself round to rewatching/continuing the series.

We saw the advert for this the other night, and looks like a light hearted cooking show, may give it a go, haven't fully committed yet.

What is with the fascination for peppers? LOL

Watched a couple of episodes - found it so-so - generally quite easy watching but not absorbing.
