James Randi has died

This is really sad news.

James Randi has done a lot to debunk some of the exploitative garbage in the world. I really enjoyed his lectures on homeopathy where he'd start them off by downing several packs of 'homeopathic sleeping tablets' -- very funny stuff, he was a fantastic entertainer.
 
Aww :( Hadn't seen anything new from him on YouTube for quite some time. Always found his videos of interest.
 
Never met the guy but thought he was a class act and a genuine light in rationale thinking circles. I'm genuinely sad about his passing but he left quite the legacy.
 
I think he also proved that no matter how much you could prove something people didn't care.
One example was a famous preacher who knew what was wrong with people then magically made their problems go away.
Randi and his team recorded the transmissions from his wife to an earpiece and he was exposed, he also ended up doing time but when he came out he carried on as usual :(
Another was Uri Geller, everywhere Geller went Randi followed him and did all Gellers tricks by showing people it was just magic - nobody cared.
He even sat across from Geller and because Randi had changed his props slightly, Geller couldn't do his tricks.
