Hmm thats interesting, i assume they use them now dont they? ( I saw one on Top Gear, so they must be combat ready... )
Nate
They are definitely flying now. I saw two hovering over the M3/M25 junction last weekend. There was a rolling police roadblock coming in the other direction so it was no coincidence. I half expected a Hellfire to come rattling off one and ruin someones day ;)

Enemy Engaged keeps getting modded by some very talented people and is worth revisiting also. Check out simhq.com for a quick review. Shame the real Commanche has now been pulled.

You want to grab a copy of Falcon 4.0: Allied Force! Although that said, I do still like to pootle around blowing stuff up in Jane's USAF every now and then. :D

Falcon 4.0 still hammered my PC when I tried playing it recently. Not bad for a game that's about 10 years old. :D There was a time when I loved those hardcore combat flight simulators, but sadly I no longer have the time, patience or skill for them anymore.

Good days. :D

Remember USNF as well? Spent ages trying to get that to work. And hours attempting to decipher Russian in SU27 Flanker. :D

The Janes flight simulator series were a curious breed, full of FMV and the like, but entertaining games nonetheless. I also felt a genuine sense of achievement when pulling the SU27's 'cobra' manoeuvre in Navy Fighters. It had no actual combat use, but looked good during flybys!

For the record, Falcon 3.0 and EF2000 were my titles of choice.

I had a quick nosey around a well known high-street game shop earlier and spotted that they had IL2 Sturmovik: 1946 for a tenner. So, off I go to the till with said game and a brand new £10 note in my hand thinking great, not bad for a tenner at all.

So, I hand over the money and am awaiting the receipt and the game to be bagged when he hands me £5.01 change. Bargain, it'd scanned in as £4.99 when it quite clearly states £9.99 on the front. :D
