January Transfer Rumours

He is a houllier buy and that is all there is to it, he doesnt like him because he didnt buy him.
Cisse will be off back to france as soon as liverpool get a decent offer for him.

In an attempt to get vaguely back on topic, so far Everton have been linked with Keane (both Robbie and Roy),Nugent from Preston, Lee Trundle (!) and between now and January we'll be linked with every single striker who looks available.

Wouldn't mind Robbie Keane or David Nugent, don't want Lee Trundle. As long as we get someone with a bit of pace I don't particulary care. Beattie is starting to have some good performances but he's missing almost as many sitters as Crouch at the moment :/

fergie says that ballack is going to real. cant blame him

but i wish fergiehad pulled out of the stops.

ANOTHER world class center mid we have missed...timing fergie, especially having sold all of our mid cover and just lost our club captain midfielder.../

Attitude? He's doing a lot better than I would in that situation. Its obvious he loves the club (as stated from the getting married in a red suit, etc) and he doesn't half put work in when he's on the pitch. Must be driving him to distraction that he's being so badly managed. Its like Foollier all over again.

On topic, Leeds are after Quashie. If we can't get Miller on a longer term loan/permanent deal then I'd like to see Quashie come in, though he'll command a decent fee.

Cisse put effort in? Don't think you have been watching him week in week out mate, you call mouthing off to team mates, shurgging his shoulders, turning his back on team mates because the ball is not inch perfect? You call effort not even bothering to chase a ball that is not inch perfect? There are a ton of things that Cisse could do but doesn't. This is the lazy attitude that Raffa and I suppose most Liverpool fans don't like about Cisse, even in traning he is recognised as a lazy git by all of his team mates and rafa has so much as said the same in recent interviews when talking about how hard Moro & Crouch train.

Cisse is good, probably the best striker at the club at this time, but if he isn't prepared to muck in with the rest of the team and give 100% each and every game then he isn't going to fit into rafa's system. The only thing I can say for Cisse is that he shouldn't be played on the right, if rafa is going to give him a chance then he should be played as the main striker, but maybe Rafa knows more than we do and knows from training etc that he isn't going to be good enough to be the main striker, all I know is that Cisse has a poor attitude towards team work and effort and thats why he is out of favour. Crouch is adored by fans because he puts in the effort, never gives up, keeps trying, gets a lot of stick but still keeps getting in there and never gives up, he is a proper team player so thats maybe why he is chosen ahead of Cisse and thats why the fans are taking to him better than Cisse.

Looked like a different player today, attitude wise, also set up an absolute sitter for morientes which he could've tried to take by himself

They get him for absolutely nothing (not even wages apparently) for letting Villa keep Bakke for longer.

I still can't say I'm particularly happy about it!
I'd rather have Bakke but I would imagine he is on pretty high wages. If they don't have to pay those two for a while it must be a bonus.

Thought this thread needed a bumpety bump as we are getting close to that time :)

Latest rumours then? What's everyone heard? Latest one doing the rounds seems to be Pennant to Liverpool. I personally don't want him at Liverpool as I think he is a bit of a plonker. Definately not a Rafa style player, too indisciplined. Undoubtedly talented but too indisciplined.

He's a damn good crosser of the ball though which someone mentioned Rafa was after earlier in the thread.

Just hope Arsenal pull out all the stops this winter. We need at least 3 players who won't need a season to bed in.

I would like to see a few players come in, but I don't want to see players come in for the sake of it. They do have to make the team better. Personally when we finally have a fit first XI (heck it's only 18 months since it last player!!) I'd suggest playing either Kolo or Ralph in CM if no one comes in. Both players would add a certain amount od steel to a weak CM. I'd love to see Ballack at the club, theres certainly a lot of money at the club that can be spent.

Of course both Arsenal and Chelsea are being linked with Theo Walcott. Only £8m, for a 16 year old. I'd rather stick with Ryan Smith whose getting rave reviews at Leicester City and is staying there for the rest of the Season on loan.

Would rather have Theo Walcott

Doubt we'll get him, i would rather have him yes, but I doubt we'll get him.

What'll happen is we express our interest and start talking to him and along come chelsea and say "here you are, we'll take him off your hands for £75 million" :p
