January Transfer Rumours

I'm not a Liverpool fan, that honour is reserved for Wolves my adopted home town, but I do have a soft spot for them. I am however and always have been a Fowler fan.

What can I say, tears came to my eyes hearing this news. Without a doubt my favourite player of all time is back where he belongs.

Strange move from City's point of view, only really leaves them Vassell and Cole. Liverpool fan at work is in 2 minds at the moment, guess we'll see if he decides to put some effort in for a change.

Leeds were paying half his wages up untill some point this season or something, City cant afford the £35,000 a week for a player to warm the bench.

I don't suppose you're a member of the Wolves site and can download any highlights of the reserves game between Wolves and Liverpool. I want to see Hamanns freekick but can't find any links. If you can it would be much appreciated. Thanks
Dont be tight sign up to e-season ticket and you can watch Fowlers interview as well

Wow :D

Didn't think it would ever happen but i'm just sooooo happy it has.I don't care if he's not what he was,or even close,we,or more accurately, the club, owe him this chance.Managers can toil away for yrs and not get the backing from the fans that Rafa is gonna get from this move.No-one expects much from him, anything will be a bonus, but Fowler is back where he belongs :D

Would the return of Owen give the same effect -not in a million yrs

I've just heard that Fowler is on the front page of the Man City programme tommorrow! :D

I also heard that he has a clause in his contract that says he won't be allowed to play against Man City in the League match.

Dear Lord im quite possibily the happiest man on earth right now, along with millions of other koppites.

I was gutted the day he left, in fact i was in tears.

Fantastic fantastic news, i dont care which robbie we get, god has returned.I suspect the younger fans probabaly wont get it, they are prob more owen fans, but for those of us that saw robbie play will appreciate what he is truly capable off.

The most natural finisher the Prem has seen is Shearer.

I'd have to agree, especially before he did his ankle in IMO

Although Fowler was onto something before he left Liverpool & given more time there I think he would be the best. by far. (but he didnt get more time), I saw one of those highlight shows and some of his goals were just dynamite, just brings all those memories flooding back :)

Good Luck to the lad, hope he can acomplish something for himself (and liverpool) so he can look back with pride in having achieved instead of what-if's..

Henry, natural finisher? Never. Great great player, but he's not a natural finisher. Fowler is the best natural finisher England has producer in recent years imo. I'm not sure if it's a good mover for 'pool, I have the feeling it could destroy the way 'pool fans feel about God.

I hope he doesn't play against Arsenal.

The first Arsenal match I watched as a fan was when he scored that hatrick in 5 mins or something crazy like that. That was the only and LAST time I watched an Arsenal match with my cousins. They are all Liverpool fans and I was just a youngster then but boy did they rub it in :(

I have never liked him since then

Delighted that Fowler looks set to finish his professional playing career at Liverpool, hopefully he can be as successful as Rush was when he returned. If the lad is serious about coming back then I hope he can get himself match fit / shead a few pounds and be as lethal as we know he can be, if he tries and works hard thats all any Liverpool fan will ask of him.

There is also talk now that Victor Sanchez is close to signing for Liverpool, he was great a few seasons ago for Real Madrid, played a big part for them as a right sided midfielder, so hopefully Rafa knows more about him that what we do, he did coach him I think when he was in the youth setup at Madrid so he probably knows what he is doing. I suppose is Simoa from Benfica is not likely to move any time soon then an alternative needs to be found.
