Spurs have been trying to get rid of Rose for quite some time now, Rose even gave an interview the other month calling them out for it and saying he was going to see his contract out. Their problem is that it's dragged on so long that they're no longer getting the big fee they hoped for.

With Sessegnon and Vertonghen Spurs have enough options to get through until the summer.

Fernandes actually played in Italy for Udinese before going to Sporting so does have some big league experience. I don’t think he’ll struggle, but I’m unsure if he’ll thrive and improve either.
