Would certainly be happy with that if it's true.Minamino to Liverpool for 7.25mil in Jan. Would be an excellent signing that.

I want us to get milkers contracted sorted as well, easily deserves least another year
I don't think we've opened talks with him about a new deal yet tbh but I do get the feeling that if a return to Leeds was an option that he could go, especially if he's not going to play regularly for us.He's seeing if we get promoted then coming back to his boyhood club
Very true and part of the Nike/new balance debate was wanting to do more in further markets and a player like minamino would helpI don't think we've opened talks with him about a new deal yet tbh but I do get the feeling that if a return to Leeds was an option that he could go, especially if he's not going to play regularly for us.
It's a tricky one for us. I'm sure Klopp would like to have him around for another year but with Ox and now Keita fit and available it does limit his game time for us. Whatever happens, given his age, I don't think we'll be making a decision on his future until nearer the end of the season.
Re Minamino, the Liverpool press pack have gone from saying we're after him to now saying they think the deal is all but done. He would be a welcome addition to the squad and at £7-8m we could shift him on for a nice profit if he doesn't cut it too. Signing a Japanese player is never a bad thing from a commercial pov too.
We could still sign honda one day maybe....7m for Minamino is a bargain, I said that Haaland and Minamino were the best two I've seen in the Salzburg side and the other night I turned to a friend and said that I wouldn't be surprised if someone snapped Minamino up in the summer. For 7m its a no brainer.
Plus it would make up for us never signing Keisuke Honda

Danny Murphy & Matthew Upson discuss Manchester United's January transfer window objectives and the future of James Maddison.
Yep. Supposedly it's our close relationship with the Red Bull teams that gave us a head start on the deal as we, supposedly at least, were the only club aware of the clause.Does he have a release clause in his contract? £7m in today’s market seems crazy for a quality 24yo winger!

he wouldn't imo

You'll have to pay us £25m for him now, he's just signed a new contract until the summer of 2022.He's seeing if we get promoted then coming back to his boyhood club
