January Transfer Window 21/22

No signings for Man Utd :( anyone else think we will struggle to get a Champions league place?

Yes. We will be relying on others teams performing badly between now and the end of the season. Just like we have done for a few seasons.

I am amazed there hasn't been much interest in Origi. I think he could be a decent player. Just needs to have regular first team football.

Diaz to Liverpool huh. My Portuguese benfica supporting work colleague says he's the best player in the league. It's kills him to say it also because it's Porto hah

I've watched a fair bit of Diaz now and he's pretty impressive, to be honest, the way he moves and some of his playstyle actually reminds me a lot of Suarez. If Diaz clicks at Liverpool I think it will mean the end of Mane. Mane has been more miss than hit since his brilliant 2020 season and with Diaz essentially playing the same role and side as Mane, he is direct competition. Hoping we get him because Diaz physical attributes and play seem perfectly suited to the English game.

Thought Diaz looked pretty good in our ties against Porto although it was how hard he worked rather than how good he looked going forward that impressed me the most. No idea if he would be any good for us but I'm surprised we aren't in for a midfielder instead, we've looked really weak in centre over the last month imo.

Lmao Nketiah to Newcastle according to the Telegraph, while its good to clear the deadwood our squad is now seriously low on numbers, at this rate we're gonna end up offering Wilshere a contract if we dont get players in.

It's never been a case of buying a player in one position over another position for us. If the player we want for the position is available then we'll move for him, if not then we'll wait. If our midfield target was available now, we'd have gone for him too.

Yeah, that's very true. Hopefully a few weeks off will allow Henderson to rediscover some form because he's been off it massively for a while. Our change in shape with him providing the width down the right probably hasn't helped him, nor has the lack of rest recently.

He certainly has an eye for goal, something like 14 goals in 18 games this season. Cant help but think that his goalscoring would be even better given that the quality of the players around him at Liverpool will be far better than the quality of players he has around him at Porto but yes his work rate, especially his defensive workrate and his regaining the ball workrate are both very Klopp-like

Apologies to all but which Diaz is this/who is he? :)
