January Transfer Window 21/22

Looks like we’re open to offers for Auba.

don’t know if it’s a bit rash or whether it’s the right time to part ways. We’re certainly looking better without him, and it’s a hell of a wage to get off the books. Could use it to bolster Saka’s new contract offer.

He's been useless since he signed the new contract. Complete lack of effort and application. He was always best on the left of a front 3, I think we have enough to do without him but do need someone else who can play up top on their own.

Brentford's first target has gone elsewhere. Apparently we'd given Vanderson the big sell and then paid for flights for him to get his visa sorted and get back to London... but he never showed. Had changed his mind and signed for Monaco, but apparently sent us an apology letter...

His new boss got sacked the day after Vanderson joined

£12m is a bargain for him
Is it? He's 31 years old and was never that good in the first place. Newcastle giving out big pay days to players at the end of their career feels very much like what QPR done in their attempts to avoid relegation some years back.

Trippier going from fighting for La Liga and the champions league to the Championship in a matter of months.

Let the hate flow through you :cry::cry::cry::cry::cry:

Are we going to get this nonsense everytime someone criticises a Newcastle signing?

He will be on silly money and is alright a player. Hes signed for the coin...not ideal.

12 mill is absolutely nothing in today's market, it is a great signing given the state Newcastle are in. Purely for his experience and leadership alone, will be great for set pieces too as he has demonstrated in his career.

Age aside seems like a bargain when you've got teams spending 50m on right backs like AWB.

The problem right now is our league position. We're desperate for better players than we have and Trippier fits the bill.

We'll only attract two types of players this window:

1. Those that are of similar level to us
2. better players who want cash

Everyone knows we're rich and within FFP, so will try to take their pound of flesh. Lots of clubs over the years have overspent on players in January, this time around it'll be no different.

Some of you guys really need to learn to recognise a joke every now and again, I know Newcastle are paying a lot of money for a 31 year old and yes he will be on big wages, but it’s something we need to do to try and stay up, for the record I still think we will go down. It actually nice to see us signing players at the start of a transfer window, it’s something we’re not used to as Ashley always liked to sign players at the end of the transfer window to save on the months wages.
