January Transfer Window 21/22

This is definitely real and happening, no doubt in my mind.

Got to love a good takeover at transfer window time

The classic lazy journalist needing to fill a column hack job, ooh look saints have been taken over that must mean they can afford Bale oh and both the club and he definitely want to be reunited!

I'd rather he didn't come back (even if there was a possibility) I remember watching him play for us first time round and being amazed that we could build our entire team around a teenage left back his level was ridiculous even then he will only tarnish those memories if he comes back a bit like Theo who while being ok for us is nothing like the lightening quick fearless teenager who terrified defences in the championship for 6 months.

I’m surprised we still started this season with Bissouma, and I guess now he’ll be staying until there’s some decision about his freedom.

I’d like Brighton to put in an offer for Origi, I think he’d do okay tbh.

Unless we get another in i cant see him going until the summer.

Arsenal reportedly interested in Neves again, would be perfect to replace Xhaka. If we get him and someone decent who can play up top on their own i'd be quite pleased.

That kind of depends how much youd get for Xhaka if you see him as a replacement as i dont think youd get Neves on the cheap so for me he wouldnt be worth it. He's a decent player dont get me wrong but he'd cost a fortune.

Prob 20 mil if we're lucky, but think of all the penalties and red cards we'd avoid. Bloke is a liability even though he's been playing fairly decent recently. Neves is also only 24 i think.

Coutinho on loan is a no brainer for Villa.

What is Trippier pointing at on his announcement picture?

Don't think either is a gamble at all.

Barca clearly hasn't worked for coutinho. He went from being the main playmaker at pool to second fiddle at Barca, and in making that move underestimated what Messi was to Barca. He'll be going back to being the main playmaker for a team and having some midfielders around him with incredible workrate like he had at pool, and some good movement Infront of him in Ings and Watkins.

Gotta laugh at people continuously saying Trippier is a gamble coming off the back of being in La Liga team of the year, and only being down the pecking order for England because he's probably got three of the best right backs in the world ahead of him. Give ya head a shake.

Glad to see the Trippier deal officially announced. Not a bad statement of intent from the new owners and hopefully adds a little incentive to other targets.

I do always have the QPR situation sitting at the back of my mind. Let's hope it is different for us.

To be fair, Trippier should do very well in the Championship next year. Coutinho is a sensible loan move for Villa, he isnt the player he once was but he can still gain you a few points here and there

I would imagine he is still a cracking player, he just didn't fit into the Barca team. I don't think he would fit into the current Liverpool team either but he was amazing for them when he was there.

How were Man United not in for Trippier? Miles better than the likes of AWB, can play both sides, good set piece taker etc. !2 million is a steal, cracking signing for Newcastle!
