Are you not presuming the OP is ok with those? All animal sport is inherently cruel, in my opinion. And this is coming from someone from a horse racing family that loved racing for a long time.

I am not presuming anything, but I bet he doesn't make a thread about the Grand National every year....he only made a thread because this came up on the news.

They are all as bad as each other, I am just making a valid point that we are all bad at using animals in entertainment, "Japanese" entertainment in the title can be easily changed to "human" entertainment? and lists all the "sports" we do with animals where they die. Will there be a "British Entertainment" next time a horse die in the Grand National?

(Did that even need to be explained?)

Tbh, I saw a horse have a similarly rough time getting it wrong on a jump at Badminton this year.

Not that I'm especially keen on that stuff either, just eye of the beholder and all that.
