Japanese gaming industry

When I was out in Japan in 2012, everywhere you looked people (kids & adults) were playing on NDS's and a few on 3DS's. In April, in three weeks I probably saw about ten people on their 3DS's but everyone else had their face glued to their iPhone. I can't remember seeing any handhelds (or iPhones) at all in Seoul, just Samsung & LG everywhere.

For the sake of all the great Japanese Vita games, I really hope they continue their support of handhelds and consoles rather than throwing everything at mobile.

Yeah, ive heard the mobile market is huge there. Are the Koreans not more into their pc gaming? Starcraft addicts.

What games and format?

If you're talking to me

Recently just played (not all completed)

- Ico HD (PS3)
- Shadow of the Colossus HD (PS3)
- FFX HD (PS VITA)
- All the Metal Gears :p (Various)
- Catherine (PS3)
- Street Fighter
- Persona 4 Arena

Once my exams are done I plan to finally get stuck into Persona 4 again and play Dragon's Dogma, Naruto Shippuden, Wonderful 101, FF XIII (although I may be giving up on this quickly =/), Sword Art Online (Vita), Danganronpa.

Plenty of others I want to do but not sure I've got the time

Dragon's Crown
Bravely Default
Bayonetta
Various Nintendo Games
Ys Memories of Celceta
Zone of the Enders HD

I didn't touch Japanese games much of PS3/360 gen nor the one before so I have a **** load of good games to catch up on, the Vita is absolutely amazing for Japanese games.

EDIT: Forgot to add Demon/Dark/Dark Souls 2 all done within the last few months.
