So I have always been a massive fan of Need for Speed, mainly the first ever game as its just brilliant!

looking on YouTube a few days ago I had this flagged up on my suggestions - The NFS Game You Never Knew Existed... - YouTube

Nissan got upset as they weren't in the original car listing......paid EA to make their own version!

blew my mind, never knew it existed all these years!

1 week later I have located a copy by fluke on eBay of the Saturn version which I snapped up instantly, and its here!!! :)

Gameplay of the Saturn version here -
Over Drivin' GT R: Sega Saturn (Actual Hardware) - YouTube
T-10615G - Nissan Presents Over Drivin GT-R JPN Sega Saturn - YouTube

Love how the intro has my favourite track from the OST (which I regularly listen too lol). This version had multiple Nissan models on it, not just GTR

The PSone version is SUPER rare, so need to wait for my chance to visit Tokyo and hit the second hand stores :D

Super find.

For a minute just reading off the title i was thinking 3DO, that truly would have been mind blowing. I go back to the original release picking it up in early 95 on the 3DO, from a time when EA would push the boat with new ideas. The original NFS was amazing to have in the home, beyond anything pre ridge racer PS1 . One of the best features was the in car view, it's amazing to see they went the distance and tagged in the Nissan dashboards, worth picking it up for that alone.

It'd be fantastic if EA would go back and HD remake the original with wheel and network support.

Yeah I remember being in Electronics Boutique and the 3DO section was the dream money zone. I never had deep enough pockets and used to want to own NFS so much. When it finally came out on the PS later on it was amazing!

Agreed a remake would be incredible, I think sadly the road and track and car licensing means it would never happen though :(. But it 110% deserves it

I have the PC version of the SE and that features upto 8 player network support ....have to find another copy first mind you!!!

My friend and I did the PSOne system link years back and played multiplayer on 2 TVs.....that was awesone fun!
