Jaqueline Pearce - RIP

Blake's 7 star Jacqueline Pearce has died at the age of 74 shortly after being diagnosed with lung cancer, her friend John Ainsworth has said.

The actress, best known for playing villain Supreme Commander Servalan tin the popular BBC science fiction series, died at her home in Lancashire.

Alongside her role in Blake's 7, which was expanded from a single episode to a regular role over four series due to her popularity, Pearce was also known for her guest role in The Two Doctors, a pair of Doctor Who episodes in 1985.

My memory of her was from Blake's 7. Not just the looks, but that voice!

Aw, gutted to hear this. I loved Blakes 7 and she certainly had an impact on me as an 11 year old boy!

74 isn't that bad for a life. I always feel that when some celebrity's demise is announced, a little more background information would be useful, especially with something like lung cancer.

Just perfect in her role as Servalan. I'm sure she'll be quite a loss to all the people that have surrounded her in celebration of that.
