Internet Explorer has been working fine up until Moday when I went on and couldn't access parts of any website that used javascript. I thought that maybe I should upgrade it. I used the online updater and it got stuck decompressing so I cancelled it, and did the manual download and update. This went through and everything says Javascript is enabled and correctly configured. I try going to a java enabled site and just an error saying javascript is disabled. It evens means I can't access my router config in IE6. I then tried to watch a Flash film and this didn't work either, giving me an error and an option to debug.
Firefox works fine but there are some websites which don't display in FF and I don't really want to be using 2 seperate browsers for different things.
I then tried repairing IE using the method on Microsofts site but even though the Windows CD was in the drive, it said it needed the Windows CD and couldn't find it.
Has anyone got any ideas what is causing this? Is there any third party tools/methods to repair IE?
