Javascript error when using Gmail notifier

I've been having a problem with Gmail notifier 0.6.x.x for ages now in that when I try and start it up I get the following Jave script error

I never used to get it until I updated to a later version of firefox sometime ago (not the latest as this happened about 2 months ago),so not really sure what caused it. There is a massive thread about it on the developers site but I can't seem to find the solution to it.

Can anyone help? Using firefox version 2.0.0.10 and Gmail notifier 0.6.2.2 but that shouldn't matter as it also used to happen with older versions of both.

maybe you have a messy profile. might be worth deleting it (backup your bookmarks and such like first) and starting afresh. i just downloaded gmail notifier and it works fine for me.

How would I start a fresh with it? I've tried uninstalling everything, firefox, notifier etc and it just brings up the same problem when I restart it?

start, run

%appdata%\mozilla

delete the firefox folder inside. be aware you will lose all settings/bookmarks by doing this......
