Javelin - anyone doing it?

I always wanted to try javelin but struggling massively to find a group/club in London to join and try. Throwing in the park is not necessarily the safest way

Is anyone here into javelin throwing?

It might depend where you are in London but have a look for local athletics clubs - I know one of my local clubs (Croydon Harriers) lists itself as offering javelin coaching but would be surprised if there aren't plenty more.

England Athletics has a search tool to find athletics clubs in your local area. You'll probably have to look at individual websites since the search tool seems to focus on running but it might give you a start.

I'm in South London, Forest Hill area so not terribly far from Croydon Harriers I suppose.
