JBL Control One?

Are these things any good?

Seem cheap at £50.

Would be for a bedroom TV, just not got much room for anything bigger.

What will you be using to power them?

Denon AVRX250BT.

Personally, I detest soundbars.

Will also need to use headphones but have no desire to use Bluetooth so will be running a simple cable from AV amp to the bed

I know a Soundbar would be "easier" but I find in terms of "bang for buck", they are not that great and I could always upgrade the JBLs in the future.

I assume the Control Ones would be better than most TV speakers, even without a Sub?

Anything else recommended for around the £100 mark or are the JBL's hard to beat?

They are only for Nippas bedroom, he is not an audiophile as far as I know He does like films and will mostly be using headphones from the AMP but I just wanted something better than the **** pot TV speakers.

The Control Ones are now £99 Glad I got mine for £50.. seemed a bargain.

@lucid - Sounds spot on

@hyperseven , they look VERY nice for the price BUT, are rathr deep and rear ported and these need to go right against the wall, either side of the TV with not much to spare as it is as in an alcove.

Got Control 1's setup and honestly, they are perfect for the need.

TV and music is great.

They punch WAAAY above the £50 price point I paid. The fact they come with wall mounts too is a nice bonus.

Very happy.
