Hi all,

I've a Jeantech JN120F-600AP12v2 PSU and I woke up this morning and noticed it sounded really rough. Had it apart tonight after work, cleared all the dust out and although it doesn't sound as bad, it's still too loud.

It appears to just be wired directly into the PSU cabling so no easy replacement.

Would just buying a replacement fan, cutting and soldering/taping the wires be acceptable? Any suggestions on replacements or just a cheap one from here?

I believe its a 120mm fan that i need.

This PSU has been running in this case for over 4 years pretty much 24/7 and never had a single issue with it. I know the rep that they have but I can't fault it and I'm not going to blow £100+ on a new one when a fan can be put in for a tenner :p

It's already lasted longer than the £200 model that I had in before it.

However, once the new office is built and I need to move everything down, I am going to look at some sort of custom case/desk build and then i'll be looking at new PSU, color coding and water cooling. :)
