Jeantech Phong II

Its more of a gaming case hybrid.

Not to bad from my point of view as unless the price is a lot more they are quite good value for money.

Yeah - you can get one on the high street, with 2 quiet 120mm fans for about £25 at the moment.

The new one looks like they've loaded it with features though - the temperature readouts and digital fan controller are naff and unnecessary. The old rheostats worked really well and were cheap, smooth and reliable.

I bet it's now £50+, like the G-Max.

For that money they are not a good buy, the originals were for the low price end a cracking buy.

These sadly if they are £45 are a gaming case, featured packed but with huge flaws and cheap build.

£25 is a great buy, £50 is not.

The original phong is great! 2x120mm for £25! A little modding (just cutting) and you got a really really nice case.

The v2 is just plain crap.

I definitely agree with that, the newer revision just looks carp tbh.

There's a review of it in this months Custom PC mag. They like it and gave it an award. Inside looks identical to me. Still not sure about it. Still has rheostats for controlling the fans, just that they are built in to the front lcd panel this time. I like the idea of the stealthed drives but not the design of the covers.

I'm not sure how they got it so right first time and so wrong second, with a few minor revisions the Origional Phong could have become one of the best cases ever, especially if they had kept the great low price. The re-design is so ugly and the new price point pushes it in amongst some serious competition that it just can't match up too!
