Thinking about replacing my current Fiat Panda, and I've found a brighter car then my current Fiat Panda.

Hyper Green is a winner colour wise.

Anyone else own one? What has it been like? Any experience of the DDCT Auto?

I think @mrk had one on hire at some point, sure he wasn't a fan though.

Aha, the forum @loltim feature seems to work well!

Hi loltim.

As for the Renegade, it was actually pretty interesting. I think the one I had was a 1.6, but it felt quite fun to throw about, and it had rather good visibility all round. The one I had as a hire car was a manual, so can't comment on the auto box.

I think they're pretty funky utility vehicles really. Different to the usual.

Thanks for the feedback.

I think I'm going for sister car the 500x instead. Just prefer the interior.

Although I see you're probably going for the 500x instead my experience for what it's worth is that I had one briefly as a hire car a few weeks back albeit it also was a manual. It's reasonably comfortable to sit in, quite easy to drive and park, boot space was more than adequate for a suitcase and there was more room in there, visibility was decent as mrk says - I don't know what engine was in it but my only real complaint was that it felt a bit underpowered for what must be quite a hefty vehicle, however I suspect the hire company would pick the smallest/least powerful engine so if you don't do that it might well be fine.

So many rockcrawls in Norwich :P

I can't see the justification in a 27k offroad Fiat 500 is all. Plus it's a Jeep so it will break... often.

Fiat purchased jeep back in the early 2000's if i remember correctly, remember jeep were the original offroaders back in the war days.

I got mine second hand for just shy of £20k, quite fun off road when i take it to the local tracks in thetford. Great on fuel as well and i say this coming from a v.w passat bluemotion.

Having a similar argument with my wife. We need a 5 door car as our current cars (fiat 500 and 911 cab) aren't exactly practical for family life. We've had a brilliant experience with the 500 and thought about a 500L... until we drove it. Seriously soul destroying, even my wife didn't like it! We can both agree that the 500X is a much better looking car and with the 1.4 turbo petrol isn't too bad to drive either (lol @ sport mode though). However I feel that for a family hack it's too small and can't take a roof box unless you get the silly off road lookalike. Is the renegade equally small inside? For the £15,500 of a pre registered 500X (would be financed at this price) we could probably stretch to something like a Kia Sportage instead which I've been pleasantly surprised by how good it is. Sadly my wife won't entertain the obvious choice of a Focus or Octavia for some reason.

Depends how big the family is really. I have a young daughter and a labrador and they fit in great. It's good for what i need, city driving, destroyer of speedbumps and extremely fun when i'm child free plus the mode select offroad is good for bad weather/snow.
I had my friends two young children in their car seats in the back with mine and it was a tight squeeze so i can't recommend for an expanding family.

My mother used to have sportage and they're a really good family car, but this was in the early 2000 so can't say how the newer models are
