Hi.

Dunno what is causing this but i am getting jerky playback over HDMI from my PC to my Samsung LCD. If i play it through DVI to DVI it's fine.

Any ideas.

System is a P5E, 8gig kingston ram, q6600, Sapphire 5770...

Just the sound mate.. that's the only differents. as my new monitor has HDMI, that's why i got a DVI to HDMI cable. but the adaptor will work fine also..

Yeah i ordered a cheap one. i don't suppose there is a way of enabling audio through my current HDMI cable while using the DVI to DVI for picture is there...?

To get sound coming out you're tv screen VIA HDMI cable you mean ?
If so, i wouldn't of thought so, but i might be wrong. i just use saparate pc speakers.

Google it. you never know. :)

Well i got a DVi-HDMI cable and no luck it's still stutters. I am begining to think it might be something to do with the telly as it plays fine DVI-DVI. The problem is when the input is an HDMI to the telly. I found the service menu of the telly and did a reset but still no luck.

Display options differing between inputs, particularly scaling and refresh rates?

Yes that was the problem, i tried changing the refresh rate through the CCC but it stayed at 60. I went into win 7 resolution settings clicked on advance and changed it through the monitor tab to 59hz and it worked. i then changed it back to 60 and the stuttering didn't start again on that either, so i guess it just needed a quick change over then back, either way it seems to be fine now. :)
