Sadly it now looks as though everyone in the flats died when it went up. Police are now doing victim recovery. An awful tragedy. I imagine the odds are strongly on a gas explosion. Can’t think of anything else that could cause such a bang and pancake a fairly new block of flats. Around a dozen victims expected when the final numbers are known. RIP to all the victims :(

Dont think flats should be using gas way to risky saying that though you see loads of gas explosions this year on the news.
 
I was reading a lot about this awful explosion yesterday and it come only a few days after 3 fishermen have gone missing after a condor ferry & Trawler collision.
Really sad time for Jersey :(
