Has anyone else used them to buy gear online? I ordered a flashgun on Monday before their next day delivery cut off and am still waiting for it. I rang them when I got home last night at about 5.20pm I was on hold only for a short while but the person I spoke to was unhelpful and quite frankly sounded like they didn't want to be there. Which became immediately apparent when they put the phone down on me at half past.
I wasn't exactly amused so had a quick look on their website, which said the customer service dept shuts at 5.30!
I also noticed that they use Yodel as their courier, and I am yet to have a good experience with our local Yodel driver. Whilst on the site I double checked the order as I got no information from the phonecall and it was not even showing as dispatched.
I fired off an email, explaining that I was still waiting for an update and that I was unhappy with the person that hung up on me, I forgot to take a name at the start of the conversation. I also pointed out that I was not impressed by their choice of courier.
Today I recieved a single line email stating 'We will request redelivery by our courier'. So, it would seem Yodel didn't even bother turning up yesterday as there was no card and my neighbours did not see anyone. This has left me really unimpressed by Jessops.
I realise this may just have been a one off, but the two people I've had contact with just came across with a not my problem vibe. Should I look elsewhere in future for my photography shopping or are they usually better than this, bearing in mind Yodel is a big negative for me.
