... and Super-Hans too ?

This is a turn-up
https://inews.co.uk/essentials/back...-new-sitcom-peep-show-wasnt-great-friendship/
With the cynicism, life responsibilities of middle age men, I am not sure their characters can be rejuvinated, better a James Dean'esque memory, no ? Their predecessor 'Men behaving badly' knew when to stop.
I will watch it, and hope they can confound me.

Did Peep show attracted a USA audience ? like it's peer "the office"

On the other hand if you want a good listen download the podcast of Robert Webb reading his autobiography
How Not to Be a Boy

Why compare it to peep show? Apart from the actors it's unrelated.

Anyway. There was a US pilot of Peep Show. I lasted about five minutes. You owe it to yourself to never ever watch it.

They are playing similar roles ?

Mitchell stars as Stephen – a divorcee and failed lawyer – who returns home to take over the family pub after his dad dies. At the funeral, his mum’s former foster child Andrew (Webb) makes an unexpected appearance – and Stephen quickly becomes convinced that Andrew is trying to steal his life…

highly educated awkward misfit , maverick friend

Maybe they have both been touring in the interim, but neither seems to have stepped into significantly different roles,
unlike ricky gervaise (derek, idiot, extras) but he is older; pity there was never more of Jack Dee's lead balloon

so
++ they are playing similar antagonistic roles - which was good
--However the show has become a situation comedy, the script has been written so all the actors are trying to be funny (like, is it, cold feet, friday night in - never watch these)
which I think detracts from Mitchell and Webb interaction, the other actors are not comedians and don't have the delivery, so give them straight roles.
+ They did not add canned laughter though, so that was a saving grace.

so ... juries out
