Saint and Greavsie has legendary status, from a time when we only had 2 channels and there wasn't any live football unless it was an FA cup match it was great to be able to catch, now we're saturated with coverage.
He was a great player. It's kinda ironic the 2 teams that played the biggest influence to him are playing against each other today, Tottenham vs Chelsea.
I liked his relaxed attitude to the game. Sometimes people can become overly serious about football, especially with the money involved these days. But at the end of the day its still just a game of football. I liked it that he kept it real.
My old man said he was the best no.9 he ever saw. Desperately unlucky to miss the 1966 WC Final, ceding his place to Geoff Hurst and we all know what happened then! Twice the player Hurst was - fate is a funny thing. RIP Jimmy
