Jittery Blu-Ray playback

PowerDVD uses its own codecs only and there's no such thing as a codec conflict.

And again.....

And you can simply uninstall a codec pack, no reason to do a fresh install of Windows. Even if the installer didn't remove everything you just need to unregister/change the merits of filters. But that's irrelevant here!

I know what you're saying but all I know is that I, and a few others around here, have had issues with video playback when this pack has been installed.

We're just using our own experiences to help him sort his problem.

All the K-Lite pack does is install DirectShow filters, this can't do any harm that can't be remedied by changing the filters/splitters merits. PowerDVD does use DirectShow but it only uses its choice of splitters/filters/renderer, it's possible to load further DShow filters, but the only one of these the K-lite pack contains is ffdshow; and the OP would have had to set it to do so and he ahsn't done so as otherwise DXVA wouldn't have been working.

So it's just not relevant.

I've just uninstalled the K-lite codec pack and it doesn't seem to have made any differemce. Might try that Arcsoft software mentioned earlier in the thread and see if that does something.

Might be barking up the completely wrong tree here but are the blurays your trying to play completely free of scratches? As I have had issues with a couple of rentals that had some scratches causing the playback to "skip" not sure if thats what you mean by jittering.

Well the most recent one i've tried is a rental copy and two others that I have are bought. When I say jittery I mean the video experiences lag in about 2 second intervals. The audio stays in sync though. Strangely enough, I don't recall there being any jittery playback on one of the bought copies, but the whilst watching the other two there was.

I'm struggling to find the cause of this :( I appreciate everyones help so far.
