Anyone else with this SATA2 chipset had problems with 3D rendering?
My motherboard has two SATA slots, and one SATA2 (JMicron) slot. I plugged my WD SATA2 hard drive in the latter. Windows installed fine, drivers and everything else was a breeze...
Then I tried playing games.
Every single game I chucked at it was freezing and stuttering at the point any ingame graphics appeared.
I was pulling my hair out for a good few hours. Then while watching CSI, I had a brain wave. Try one of the SATA1 slots. So I jumper the HDD to make it SATA1, plug it in, turn it on. Start a game and it's perfect.
Anyway of fixing this, as I'd really like SATA2 if I can.
