Hi, I was wondering if anyone knew where i stand legally in regard to my job.
Ive worked for the NHS for just over 39 months but a while back we were informed of a serious change to the way we do are jobs would occur in the near future.
We were given 2 choices:
a) voluntary redundancy
or
b) Take a new job that will be created when my curernt job exists no more.
I took the voluntary redundancy option as did many others.
Now just before chrismas we were informed that no one except for a few managers were going to get voluntary redundancy and that we would have to either leave unpaid or take a new job.
The new job is totally new, and consists of a new contract, new working conditions, and having to learn a new system from scratch.
Clearly people are annoyed and what i want to know is can they legally just say your old job no longer exists, here have a new 1 or get out...
Or do they have to buy our old contracts off us?, as they are breaking them not us.
Cheers. Chris..
P.s if ive missed any important details out that will help you answer let me know.
