Hi there, I am currently applying for a position regarding an ICT Helpdesk Analyst job. My problem is I always seem to struggle or just tend to repeat crap and I do find it hard to word my applications correctly. I really would like it if someone could have a read of this and basically pick it to pieces (but not too much... and tell me where I can improve as I know major adjustments can be made...)
Thanks...
I've read it to myself and it just seems a lot of *****.
Thanks...

I have the qualities and attributes that are essential for this position. These include a good understanding of how to use a computer to solve problems that I have experienced and showing other people how to use different aspects of office software i.e. Word, Excel etc. Having previous and current administration experience and has given me many transferrable skills including excellent communication, the ability to organise myself, manage my own workload, working as part of a team and the ability to be flexible with taking on new tasks in an administration role.
My literacy and numerical skills are accurate; I had to arrange bookings for clients using diary and case management systems and ensure invoices had the correct figures before they were sent to the client. *expand*
Previous call centre work has given me experience of how to deal and empathise with customers on the telephone and to offer help and guidance if necessary to help resolve common digital problems/faults with electrical equipment. If I couldn’t solve the problem after a basic set of diagnostics I simply booked an engineer out for the customer whilst logging the fault into the system. Due to working on a fault support desk this led to the majority of calls being from angry customers and I used empathy in this position and to help the customer as much as possible. This has helped me to gain knowledge of how a helpdesk operates, and I believe that I can help the with the skills that I possess and expand on my own knowledge to increase my development further.
I currently work temporary for ******* and my role is a ******* in dealing with bankruptcies and general administration duties. This role has been challenging with the current economy situation and I’ve been able to demonstrate the skills gained in previous jobs and education to help them.
Having a BTEC National Diploma in ICT Practitioners has given me the ability to develop and gain many ICT skills in different areas, especially the Microsoft Office Packages and using different operating systems. I have developed skills from different assignments and I’ve been able to implement these skills in to the work place.
