Hi guys i have a job interview tommorow! The start of my IT career will hopefully begin shortly :) It is for a 'Junior' network admin at a local finance company!

The question is though, what should i wear? Im thinking of rocking out in plain black trousers, a nice pair of Burtons shoes i have and maybe white short sleeved shirt?

Any help from you guys i welcome :)

Hmmm... I was thinking this but as much as i would like to i really dont want to look ott! Especially as it is a "group" interview so there will be 4 more people i think!

Stuff the other people. YOU are there to impress, not to worry about what the other interviewees might think.

Suit up and good luck.

Better to be overdressed than underdressed.

ou don't need a tie clip, braces, and a monocle, but put your best suit on, clean the mud off your smart shoes, and pick a fairly vibrant, but stylish shirt/tie combo.

E.g. I wore a dark olive shirt under my pin stripe suit with a lime green tie, and it looked HAWT :D

Good Luck

Ignore the others, it's you that wants the job. They might all think the same and not go in a suit, then you've immediately made an impression :)

I agree with the suit & tie comment.
Both jobs I went for this week don't require a suit but its all about making an impression.
If you look your best then they will know that you can also dress down but not vice versa.

And it should be against the law that short sleeve shirts are ever allowed to worn to be work!

But yes, a suit is the only option for an interview.

WEAR A SUIT!!!!!!

(like everyone else has already said)

It doesn't matter if that is the only time you'll ever wear a suit in that place and spend the rest of your career there wearing denim. My current place is smart casual and my previous didn't even have a dress code - they both still expected serious interview candidates to wear a suit and tie.

I have an interview on thursday for an IT company as well and ill be wearing a suit. Might well be overdressed but I would rather be over dressed than under.

Had my interview on Monday and started today  I didn't wear a suit as they wanted me to start work a month earlier than scheduled. In fact it was 5 weeks lol. My saville row beauty is in the UK but that didn't stop me looking uber sharp.

I wore:

Brown Cord Jacket (RL)
White LONG sleeve shirt.
Dark Blue tie with white pattern (nothing flashy)
Black/ very dark blue trou.
Oliver Sweeny Loafers (look like croc skin, but are leather ;) )

BEST OF LUCK. OcUK kinda helped me so I'll wish another job to another OcUKer in a week!

Just dont let them rattle you (mine was in Spanish) and remain calm. No one pitched up to mine until 35mins late and it wasn't the guy who was meant to be coming. I didn't realise until this morning but he's the cheese :)

Go get 'em
