Just need some advice on what you would do in my situation.

I've been offered a job working in the Channel Islands but the missus isn't happy as I'd obviously be moving over there and I'd be back every fortnight for the weekend.

The experience I'd gain over there is critical for getting a job back over here as I'd struggle with just the qualifications and no experience. There's also a nice added bonus of a 30% wage increase plus travel and accommodation is paid for.

Seems daft even asking now I've written it out as it's only temporary for only 6-12 months. Or until I find the same job back over here or she leaves me and I just stay there :D

nice one, Jersey is probably OK but some UK affiliated Islands can be weird.

Isle of Man used to have a law on the books to birch gays until recently and in Sark you could beat your wife & cars are banned... plus they were basically under some backwards feudal system until very recently.

Depends if you value your career over your misses. Only being able to see her for a couple of days every 2 weeks for the next year? Yeh good luck with that working out.

Fly her out and you go back alternate weekends. Flights are cheap and quick, virtually no time in airport here especially if hand baggage only. Don't forget no VAT on deliveries from UK and 20% income tax on Jersey source income ;) Housing (London prices) and food is expensive though so budget accordingly.
