Joe Kinnear: It's Official

Lets be honest couple of good signings and we be a happy lot.

but this is going to implode....

Mike just using Newcastle as "jobs for mates" heck he's rich enough why cant he just pay them to go drinking with him

Just finished reading an article where someone has corrected all his mistakes in the interview, quite shocking that he states so many facts about himself which are incorrect:....

You've missed a few off the list too. Surely he knew that people would spot all the bs he was coming out with?

That and the David Pleat names aside, it was frightening how arrogant he's coming across in the interviews he's given. I read in the Telegraph last night that Newcastle delayed announcing the news because they were still trying to get hold of Pardew; now I think Pardew's a bit of a **** but you've got to feel for him. His position's almost become untenable and he's not even met Kinnear yet.

Think I need a new team :p though not willing to travel any further down takes 5 hrs a game atm !! (There and back)

None of my pennies are going to the club for a good while now, bar away games. The team shouldn't 'suffer' because of Mike Ashley's retarded, troll-like behaviour.

Brilliant news.

He will be a total disaster, and provide hours of entertainment.

"I can open the doors to any manager in the world!"

Delusional ****.

1. 8 year contract for Pardew = Lots of £££ to sack him after last season.

2. Bring in Kinnear on modest salary.

3. Pardew gets irritated by Kinnear interfering and not having enough control over his transfers. Decides to resign.

4. Ashley avoids having to make big payout to Pardew, sacks Kinnear as he was cheap and served a purpose.

That is the only explanation I can come up with for having Kinnear come in!?

tbh I'd never heard of him before all this appointment, I certainly dont remember him being manager in 2008 :o

As for the appointment only way I can describe it is it would only happen with Newcastle, Liverpool & Chelsea have been described as the gift that keeps giving but what Newcastle go and do every so often really puts them on another scale :p

Wouldn't Pardew be able to sue the club for constructive dismissal and then receive a lot, if not most, of the remainder of his 8 year contract paid out?

Dint KK win his case and got a big payment for something similar when Wise and co came in?

The joker has really arrived. From this mornings paper:

The worst of Kinnear’s interview on talkSPORT

Claim “Derek Llambeeze was the director of football — Derek has resigned now.”
Fact Derek Llambias was and remains Newcastle’s managing director.

Claim “I had over 400 games for Tottenham Hotspur.”
Fact He made 258 appearances for Spurs.

Claim He has “been manager of the year three times.”
Fact he was LMA manager of the year once, in 1994.

Claim “I sold Robbie Earle [at Wimbledon] for x, y, z.”
Fact Earle retired through injury.

Claim “I bought Dean Holdsworth for 50 grand.”
Fact Holdworth cost £650,000.

Claim “I brought [Tim] Krul to the club [Newcastle].”
Fact Krul made his debut in 2006, two years before Kinnear’s arrival.

Thought pards had a clause that meant he only got a years pay out so this constructive dismissal thing would only serve to spend more money for no reason...

Putting my quid on Ashley getting drunk with him and accidentally signing him up

I'd heard that in Pardew's contract there is a clause that if he gets sacked, he only gets a 1 year payout. I've only read it a couple of times so no idea how true it is.

Edit: There you go, I knew I wasn't alone in reading that

That Derek Lambias chap has resigned as well now.

Good luck Newcastle :o

Just read that. :p

We are a joke. Lot if rumours going round the delay in announcing Joke Kinnear was because Pardèú refused to release a statement. He'll be gone before season kicks off then we'll hate Cashley and Joke in charge :p:(

Looooooool Newcastle.

The Toon roller-coaster continues...

The club is crumbling again, after the 2011/12 season when we thought things were looking up and we were back to our old ways. It seems the Championship is upon us again.

I hope Pardew sticks his foot up Kinnear's ****. Pards has done more in 1 season than Kinnear has done in his lifetime. Who thought it would be a good idea to have Kinnear calling all the shots?

He's already called off the signing of Brazilian centre back Douglas (on a free), because he doesn't want to. I bet he's never seen him play before!!!!

Right I've decided, I refuse to watch any Newcastle games next season.

Instead I will be rooting for Swansea (underdogs, play nice football, I really like Laudrup) and Chelsea (want them to win the league, as Mourinho is very likeable)

Swansea are awesome, but Mourinho is an evil evil man. I hope Chelsea finish outside the top four. I just want to see the despair! "Even Jose couldn't save us"

Cheer up Newcastle fans, there's always the chance of another heart attack.

I feel kind of bad that I'm routing for this to happen.

Also, calling off the Douglas deal? A man we've chased for 2 years, who Carr has recommend and Joke just calls it off? ******* moron, so much for working with Carr. At this rate he will be off to :(
