Surprised there isn't a thread on this already, but it seems to have come out of nowhere!

Saw a trailer earlier on Youtube as Gunship posted it on their channel, so downloaded the demo and just played the demo missions with one of my mates - definitely seems like it has potential, the obvious comparison being L4D but on steroids. Great fun, very chaotic, gore everywhere, lots of cheesy lines, it definitely doesn't take itself too seriously :D

Would highly recommend checking it out if you enjoy those type of games :)

Can't post the trailers as they are probably not "family friendly", but easy enough to find :)

Yeah looks good. Cheap too. Just watched a vid where he said if you own Space Marine 2 or WWZ games on Steam you get a further discount.

This did come out of nowhere, I first saw it advertised in Space Marine 2's menu.

My theory is Saber wants in on future Vermintide/Darktide type contracts and is trying to prove themselves with this.

We've managed to complete the demo missions on hard, tried the first on very hard and it's a big step up in difficulty!

Good fun though, going to preorder I think as we're both really enjoying it

Only heard about this this week but is a game that will definitely scratch an itch. The L4D games were always chaos, when playing with a group

Looks cool, if I can find some people to play with then I'll probably pick it up.
Hopefully gains traction (or at least the devs stay engaged) better than Back4Blood, I thought that looked promising pre-release.

I thought I had previosly replied to this thread but apparently not.

I played a few hours of the demo and really liked it so I have actually pre-ordered it, the price is good so nothing to loose really.

I wasn't convinced the first game I had with it as the randon people I was playing with just went different directions, someone took the car and shot off lesaving everyone else to go wherever..

After that though I seemed gto be matched with better people who knew what they were doing and it was much better.

So looking forward to that next week :)

Yeah, it's definitely one of those games where who you're playing with with make or break it, luckily I have a few mates to play with, but I can imagine it being very hit or miss with randoms

Loaded the game up, ooh this looks nice!

Gun at the ready, moving left and right... I feel like I'm going to PUKE!

Checks options, NO FOV slider, wtf is this :(

Hopefully they put it in

I've had my eye on this for a while. Played the demo during Next Fest and was pleasantly surprised that it's actually quite fun. The price basically ensures that I'll give it a go - it's worth a punt for £30.

I have only played the first mission but enjoyed it. I will probably wait until it's discounted further though before picking it up, as I will most likely be playing with randoms/on my own, unless I can convince some friends to also get it.

If you're going to get it, based on the price I'd be tempted to get it now instead of further down the line when the player base would probably have dropped off a bit.

Depends if you're happy to play with randoms, or have a decent group of friends to play with I guess - if the latter then player base doesn't really matter.

Although with it being always online, I would have concerns about them turning off the servers if it doesn't prove popular

Good shout, but to be honest, I don't really mind waiting as I have quite a few other games on the go currently and if it came to playing Toxic Commando by myself/with bots, I wouldn't mind. Most of the time you can rely on bots more than randoms anyway  Plus, my friends might be willing to buy it if it were a bit cheaper!
