Just got his new album and I'm disappointed.
I'll be the first to admit that his previous albums (which I really like) are a little 'pop', but there is some really good songwriting going on.
The new album takes everything I dislike about Jack Johnson's music and puts it on a John Mayer album!
(ie boring, lifeless, simple songs made to sell to the masses).
If you like boring laid-back blues, this album might be good for you, but those that want interesting and dynamic music, stick with his previous stuff.
