ABOUT :

THE TIME TRAVEL TALE OF JOHN TITOR
Although there is debate over the exact date it started, on November 02, 2000, a person calling themselves Timetravel_0, and later John Titor, started posting on a public forum that he was a time traveler from the year 2036. One of the first things he did was post pictures of his time machine and its operations manual. As the weeks went by, more and more people began questioning him about why he was here, the physics of time travel and his thoughts about our time. He also posted on other forums including the now non-existent Art Bell site. In his posts John Titor entertained, angered, frightened and even belittled those who engaged him in conversation. On March 21, 2001, John Titor told us he would be leaving our and returning to 2036. After that, he was never heard from again. Speculation and investigation about who John Titor was and why he was online continues to this day.

Saw it quite some time ago, I found it interesting, but it's a load of rubbish. Take a look at some of his predicitions.. Here's one for example:

29 January 2001 12:25

Are the Olympics still being played in the future?
60. As a result of the many conflicts, no, there were no official Olympics after 2004. However, it appears they may be revived in 2040.

I think its rubbish tbh he would blatantly have just come back to win the lottery a few times... well that's what i'd do :p

But he's not from our time line remember. It's like another world with a 1 or 2% difference to ours (or so he says).

What a top bloke for getting that much recognition, but what a nutter for thinking it up.

Do you think he gave anyone a racing/sports results book like in back to the future? There could be some lucky sod in America reaping the rewards in a mad betting winning streak. ;)

No, he said he wouldn't answer questions like that because why should he.

His comparison was "Did it rain in New York on 23th May 1938?" - you should know, you're from their future.

winter olympics don't count they ain't real olympics are they :D
The Olympics is split in to the Summer Games and Winter Games, any reason the winter games is any less real than the summer ones? :p

Wasnt there a guy what got arrsested for buying loads of stock of a company and next day it went up a stupid % he was suppose to be a time traveller.

edit

nope

Andrew Carlssin is a fictional person from a news story hoax. A story on Yahoo reported that a man named Andrew Carlssin had been arrested for SEC violations for making 126 high risk stock trades and being successful on every one. It was said that he started with an initial investment of $800 and made a fortune of over $350,000,000.

He claimed to be a time traveller from the year 2256. Upon making bail he had promptly disappeared. The news article was originally published by the Weekly World News and later on was reprinted as on Yahoo News' Entertainment and Gossip section. The story was also included in the book "Pedestrian safety expert gets hit by bus" by Huw Davies. It was made to be an April fools joke.

He covered himself well:

"According to Mr. Titor, while he believes we are headed for and will experience the same major disasters he knows from his history, we still have the power to alter our reality as we choose: we do have free will. Because there are an infinity of universes where all different choices are played out anyway, it therefore wouldn't harm anything if we did take steps to intelligently modify our future, and that is also why Mr. Titor felt he could do no harm by slightly modifying this reality by revealing himself here"

In other words, he could say what he likes, then if it doesn't become true, the "believers" would say it is because free will made variances.

Utter tripe... but well thought out

There's so many holes in the JT story.

The pictures of the time machine for starters.

Modern day mobile phones produce a higher quality picture than the one that was shown, I would have thought in 25 years time they will be even better.
