Yes, far more durable, washable and doesn't show rub marks if you brush past it. I found Covaplus when painted looked great but as soon as you rubbed past it if left a sheen. So on a stair case it very quickly looked as if it was marked, even though it wasn't. Also, you will find that if there is a mark on the wall and you try and rub it off, some of the paint will come too. With durable you can pretty much scrub it. Johnstones also have a new cleanable matt too https://www.johnstonestrade.com/product/cleanable-matt But I haven't tried it so sticking with the Arcyllic matt.
It was a case of this or the dulux trade paint which we've already done throughout upstairs. The price difference is what put me off the johnstone, if it's so cheap then why is it so good? So I'm chuffed you guys give positive feedback.Yep, great stuff and it's all I use. It goes on the wall so nicely. I've painted most of the house with it and I have a painter doing the kitchen this week, I asked him what he wanted me to buy him and he also recommended it.
It's also far cheaper than Dulux trade. I bought 5l of this at the weekend for about £33 mixed to any colour, they have some kind of bonanza promotion at the moment.
I got 5l of white for the ceiling, 5l of colour, 2.5l of satin for the skirting and architraves (the painter asked for water based) and 1l of bullseye 123 primer for £78.

Where did you purchase all that from?
They will match any colour you ask for (including farrow and ball) althought they gave up with one shade of green I asked them to do as they couldn't get it right. You can even call them, pay over the phone and they will deliver. Don't bother doing the ceilings in acrylic matt though. Just stick to covaplus for that.
