I need a way of quick disconnecting an ethernet cable midway. I have purchased 2 rj45 plugs and a 10Gbps socket.... https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0BKNWJSRK?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details ....(one plug in each side) so effectively cutting the cable adding a plug on each end and plugging them into either end of the connector.
If you look at the attached image i have the insides of the rj45 showing how they will be when plugged in.
My question may be a stupid one so apologies. If i connect the plugs as shown when plugged into the connector blue and blue stripe from one plug will be linked to brown and brown stripe in the other?
So do i wire both plugs as the colours are marked on the connectors? Or do I wire them so when connected together blue goes to blue etc so its exactly as it was before the cable was cut?
It seems obvious to be the latter to me? Or does the connector switch the wires internally?
